General Notes: Husband - Henry Clay Noble

He passed his entire life in Buffalo township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, with the exception of ten years before his marriage and ten years after, during which period he was a resident of Donegal township. He was a typical self-made man, and was justly proud of his success. His farm of 208 acres was finely situated and well improved. He was an attendant and liberal supporter of the Presbyterian Church at Claysville, and in his political preferences was an active Democrat. He was frequently urged to accept office, and at various times was elected a justice of the peace, but invariably either refused to accept or declined to serve.
