General Notes: Husband - William Carter


He was an early settler of Amwell Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania. He owned large tracts of land and also operated one of the pioneer grist mills, on North Ten-Mile Creek. To this mill came the settlers for many miles around and he conducted the mill for a long period.
