General Notes: Husband - Daniel Madison Cary


He was trained to farm life; he received but a meager education, his schooling consisting of about four weeks' annual attendance at a subscription school. After his marriage he lived for a while with his father in Greene County, Pennsylvania, then pur­chased land near Rogersville, Centre township, same county, living there ten years, when he pur­chased a farm in Morris township, Washington County, where he then made his home. He was a Democrat in politics, and both he and his wife attended the Amity M. E. Church.
