General Notes: Husband - Charles Covell, Sr.


He settled in Warren County, Pennsylvania, in 1853, coming there from Saratoga County, New York, and there engaged in the lumber business and farming.
Civil War: He enlisted in Company K., 12th Pennsylvania Cavalry, in 1862, under Colonel Pierce, and served to the close of the war, and was discharged July 24, 1865, at Philadelphia.
He was elected justice of the peace in 1882 for a term of five years; was assessor for four terms, and also held other offices.
