General Notes: Husband - Capt. Elihu Chadwick


He served from New Jersey throughout the Revolution, and rose to the rank of lieutenant colonel in one of the regiments from that state. He also held a captain's commission, 1st Company, 3rd Regiment, Monmouth County Militia, dated April 4, 1785, and signed by Gov. William Livingston of New Jersey. In 1812 he moved to Pennsylvania and settled at the mouth of North creek, within the present limits of Cameron County, where he spent his latter years engaged in farming and lumbering.
