General Notes: Husband - David Chambers

Wesleyville, Erie Co, PA

He and his wife came from Chambersburg, Pennsylvania (named after the Chambers family), to Erie County, about 1812-14, settling on a 400-acre tract of land purchased from the Holland or Population Co. They were parents of ten children, eight living in 1884. [HEC 1884, Bios 137]

His father located in Erie County, Pennsylvania, in an early day, buying, in company with his brother, several hundred acres of land. He became heir to a part of his father's property.

He died in 1878. [HMEF, 344]

General Notes: Wife - Mabel Nash

She descended from old New England Colonial stock, her first ancestor in America, Thomas Nash, coming to America in 1637. Having resolved to plant a new colony, the entire company sailed from Boston in March, 1638, for Quinipiac, where they purchased land from the Indians and founded what became the city of New Haven, Connecticut.
