General Notes: Husband - William Craig Chaplin


He graduated at Annapolis, Maryland, and entered the service of the U. S. Navy Nov. 1, 1826, serving continuously until 1851 and attaining the rank of lieutenant.

He was a lieutenant in the United States navy, in sea, shore or special service, from 1826 to 1851, and died in the officers' quarters, at the Charlestown navy yard, Boston, Massachusetts.

He and his wife were the parents of eight children.
