General Notes: Husband - Lyman S. McCorkle

He was a native of Ohio, coming with his parents to Sandy Creek Township, Mercer County, Pennsylvania. In 1883, after spending an active life as a farmer, he located in Sheakleyville, bought another homestead and, although he partially retired, bought and shipped stock, to some extent, until his death two years later. Although he met with several business reverses during his life, he left his family in comfortable circumstances.
