General Notes: Husband - Walter Addison Lyon

He was born at Mt. Pleasant, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. He removed with the family to Altoona, Pennsylvania. After being educated at the public schools of Altoona, he took a preparatory course at the Western Pennsylvania Classical and Scientific Institute, and entered Pennsylvania State College. After an attendance of three years at the electrical engineering course, he left college and accepted a position with the Edison Electric Illuminating Company at Altoona. He later removed to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and then to Chicago, Illinois. In 1911 he went to Groveland, Lake County, Florida, as secretary of the Florida Development Corporation.
