General Notes: Husband - Joseph Adams

He and his wife came to America from Ireland in the same ship, but did not know each other until after they arrived in America, although the vessel was thirteen weeks making the voyage. They were Presbyterians, and members of the Church of Upper Buffalo at the time of the pastorate of Dr. Anderson. Their children were early in life instructed in the doctrines of their religion, and some of them were able to ask and answer every question in the Shorter Catechism without the aid of a book.
They settled in Buffalo township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, where they spent their remaining years.
