General Notes: Husband - Charles Thompson Neale

All his life he was engaged in the manufacture of iron and steel, and removed from Armstrong County, Pennsylvania, to Pittsburgh in 1859. He was one of the organizers and incorporators of the Kittanning Iron and Steel Company and was president of the corporation at the time of his death, having held that office for many years. He was a member of the Episcopal church, and was a vestryman of the Church of the Ascension. As a member of the Republican party he acted with it only in a private capacity, never mingling in public politics further than to exercise his rights and prerogatives as a citizen. He was a member of the Duquesne Club of Pittsburgh.
