General Notes: Husband - James Clark

He was a soldier in the Revolutionary War and served in the company under his brother, Captain John Clark, who later became a colonel in the U. S. A. James Clark was a sergeant in his brother's company of the Eighth Regiment, and while in the army in Virginia, met and married. After the war they settled in Armstrong County, Pennsylvania, where the government granted 416 acres of land to him for services rendered in the war. They reared a family of 13 children, the third in order of birth being John.
