From there he went to North Mills to take charge of the creamery there and remained two years and two months. After being educated in the literary branches, she received musical training at the Cleveland School of Music and at Grove City College. She was then successfully engaged in teaching music until her marriage. She was an earnest member of the Baptist church and a leader in its missionary work. She resided with her father and (especially after the death of his wife) was the inspiration and solace of his declining years.
