General Notes: Husband - William Thompson Clark

He served as a sergeant and commissary in the 79th Regiment Pennsylvania Veteran Volunteers in the war for the Union, and was severely wounded in the battle of Perryville. He was in a large number of engagements during his four years of service, and was with Sherman on the march to the sea, and in the grand review in Washington at the close of the war. He was a member of George H. Thomas Post 84, G. A. R., and an elder of the Presbyterian Church of Chestnut Level.
