General Notes: Husband - Archibald Kerr


He received a common-school education, and early in life learned the cabinet-maker's trade. He worked by the day and job for eight years in Virginia and Pennsylvania, and in 1876 engaged in furniture and funeral director business at Garard's Fort, Pennsylvania, where he remained for two years. He then moved to Carmichaels, where he gained the reputation of doing first-class work.
He was a member of the M. E. Church, and his wife was a Cumberland Presbyterian. In politics Mr. Kerr was a Democrat. He was a member of the town council, and belonged to the I. O. O. F. Lodge at Carmichaels, Pennsylvania.
