General Notes: Husband - Lucian Troy Claybaugh

He was seven years of age when his parents removed from Ironton, Ohio to California, Washington County, Pennsylvania, where he was reared and learned the carpenter's and builder's trade. He began working at his trade when fifteen years of age, and so continued for a period of thirty years at California and vicinity. He was a Republican in politics, and was postmaster of Donora, beginning in 1900, when the town was organized. He served as a member of the Council at California, and also as a member of the Donora school board twice, on the first school board of that borough. He was fraternally a member of the Royal Arcanum.
