General Notes: Husband - John Fager


He learned the trade of a hatter in Reading, Berks County, Pennsylvania, and came to Harrisburg about 1790, where for a number of years he carried on the business. He was one of the founders of the Evangelical Lutheran Church at Harrisburg in 1795; served as commissioner of the county of Dauphin, and for a number of years was a member of the Town Council. After retiring from active business, late in life, he was the collector of tolls at the east end of the Harrisburg bridge.
He and his wife had ten children.
