General Notes: Husband - William M. Stewart, Esq.


He read law and became a successful lawyer; was in partnership at Indiana, Pennsylvania, with Silas M. Clark, who was elected justice of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. Prior to 1870, he moved with his family to Philadelphia, where he engaged in the banking business and was one of the firm of B. K. Jamison & Co., although still keeping his office at Indiana and continuing his practice there, being counsel for the Pennsylvania Railroad Company.
