General Notes: Husband - Andrew Jackson Closser

He was born on the old home-stead in Amwell township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, and remained there thirty years, engaging in farm work. He was educated in the common schools, and was a well-read and intelligent man for that period.
In 1852 he purchased a farm of 120 acres later occupied by his son John, and two years afterward sold it, and purchased another place which became his home. He was a Dem-ocrat, but voted for principle regardless of party divisions.
