General Notes: Husband - William B. Coffman

He was born on the old Coffman homestead in Cranberry Township, Venango County, PA, and was reared there. He attended the local schools and had the best advantages available, meanwhile commencing work with his father, under whose guidance he had an excellent start, remaining with him until he reached the age of twenty-five years. After he set out to make his own way he was engaged in the production of oil, his interests being at Seneca, in his native township, where he advanced to a foremost place among local oil men. His success was brought about logically, by intelligent study of conditions and concentration of his energies in his chosen line, and he was well repaid, not only in a material sense but also in the prestige which he attained.
