General Notes: Husband - Stewart Cowen

He lived in Becaria township, Clearfield County, PA, until the outbreak of the Civil war, when he joined a cavalry company under Gen. Sherman, and participated in all the engagements in which his regiment took part. On the close of the war he returned to Becaria township, but in 1868 removed to Tyrone, PA, where he thereafter followed railroading.
