General Notes: Husband - Archibald C. Hilton


A native of Albany, New York, he came to Erie, Pennsylvania, about the year 1830. He was a saddler, and engaged in that business for some time.
He was appointed deputy sheriff and keeper of the jail of Erie County, and was also deputy collector of the port of Erie under President Tyler's administration from 1841-45. He died while his family were still young.
