General Notes: Husband - John M. Cook


The Cooks came to Pennsylvania from New England, where the family was founded by English settlers prior to the Revolutionary War, in which they participated.

His eldest son was born in in Amwell Township, near Ten-Mile village, Washington County, Pennsylvania, and in the following year he moved to Knox County, Ohio, and took up government land and lived during the remainder of his life.

He was a soldier in the War of 1812.
