Edward M. COON
Funeral services will be hold at 2 p.m. Thursdaa in the Louis H. Osenider Funeral Home for Edward M. Coon, 77, of 28 Allegheny Ave., Reno, a retired custodian at the Oil City Post Office and a World War I veteran.
Mr. Coon, who had been in ill health the past year, died Monday evening in Oil City Hospital.
Rev. William H. Smith, pastor or the Reno United Methodist Church, will officiate. Inter­ment will be in the Reno Cemetery.
Friends may call any time at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today.

E. M. Coon's Funeral Set
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Louis H. Osenider Funeral Home for Edward M. Coon, 77, of 28 Allegheny Ave., Reno, a retired custodian at the Oil City Post Office and a World War I veteran.
Mr. Coon, who had been in ill health the past year, died Monday evening in Oil City Hospital.

A resident of Reno for the past 60 years, Mr. Coon was born October 31, 1894, in Bradford, a son of Jacob and Elizabeth Neal Coon.
He retired from his job at the post office In 1965.
Mr. Coon was a member of the Reno United Methodist Church.
He enlisted in the Army July 24, 1918, in Franklin, and was discharged Aug. 7, 1919, at Camp Dix, N.J., after serving as a private in the 21st Co., 155th DB, in France.
He and former Mildred Heckathorne were married December 28, 1941. She survives along with a daughter, Carol, at home; a sister, Alice Coon, of Reno; and a brother, George Coon, of Lodi, Calif.
Two brothers and two sisters are deceased.
Friends may call any time at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today.
