General Notes: Husband - William Epaphroditus Cossitt


He was a graduate of Thiel College in which he completed the course in 1885. After leaving school he located on the Cossitt farm and began managing the entire estate in connection with the operation of a dairy farm. The latter was the largest in Mercer County and the "Croton Farm," on which the dairy was established, was a landmark of Mercer County for over a century. Mr. Cossitt took an active part in local public affairs, and served the township as tax collector and a member of the school board.
