General Notes: Husband - Samuel Haney Moore


He was born and resided continuously on the same farm, previously owned by his father, at New Salem, Fayette County, Pennsylvania. Here, with his one hundred fifty-two acres of land, he did general farming. The Pittsburgh coal vein he sold to G. L. Hibbs, who afterward sold it to the H. C. Frick Company. Mr. Moore was a Republican, and served two terms on the election board in his district. His church was the Presbyterian church at New Salem.
