General Notes: Husband - Emanuel Crock

He was reared under the parental roof and on reaching manhood engaged in the cattle business, which he followed for a number of years. Later he was connected with the distilling business for three or four years, after which he entered the railroad service, and when he had acted as brakesman for some time he was promoted to the position of conductor. For thirty years he ran on the same train, and then retiring from railroad service accepted a position as foreman for Stark Brothers, well known contractors of Greensburg, Pennsylvania, with whom he remained for a period of six years, when he was killed by the same train on which he had run for nearly a third of a century. He was a member of the Reformed church, and was a staunch Democrat in his political views.
