General Notes: Husband - Edwin G. Sproul


He was born in Butler township, Butler County, PA, where he was reared and edu­cated. After attaining his majority he engaged in lumbering and in operating saw mills in different parts of Butler county, and in partnership with his uncle, Hugh Sproul, erected the Anandale grist mill, at Anandale station, in Marion township, which was then operated under his management, the firm name being Hugh Sproul & Company. He was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church, and in politics, he was a Republican,
