General Notes: Husband - Charles C. Crowell


He secured his educational training in the public schools of Adamsburg, Pennsylvania, and thereafter continued his studies in the Greensburg Seminary, from which institution he was graduated in 1891. He read law under the preceptorship of John F. Wentling, one of the talented members of the Westmoreland bar, and was admitted to practice at the May term of the court in 1893. He was admitted to the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania on October 7, 1895, and to the Superior Court of Pennsylvania on October 7, 1902
He served as second lieutenant and battalion adjutant in the Tenth Regiment of Pennsylvania Volunteers in the Spanish-American war.
In politics Mr. Crowell was an advocate of the principles of the Republican party, and he adhered to the faith of the Dutch Reformed church.
