General Notes: Husband - Joseph Engle

Industry Twp, Beaver Co, PA - a fruit-grower

He was educated in the common schools of his native county, and was reared to farm life. Soon after marriage he moved to near Fostoria, Seneca County, Ohio, where he followed farming for three years; then returned to Beaver County, Pennsylvania, and settled on a farm, part of the old family homestead. He was the first shipper of cultivated fruit (grown on his own place) from that part of the country. He and his family were members of the United Brethren church.
