General Notes: Husband - Joseph Cummins

---

He was born in Washington County, Pennsylvania, was reared in his native county, and there married. In 1837 they came to Butler County and purchased a farm in Marion township, where Mr. Cummins later died.
Politically, he was a Republican, served in the legislature in 1843-44, was associate judge of Butler County for two terms, and justice of the peace for eighteen years.
He was an elder in the Presbyterian church.
