General Notes: Husband - David Carroll

He was quite young when brought by his parents to Mercer County, PA. He was reared on the homestead, attended the log school-houses of that period, and built a foundry on his father's homestead, and afterward erected one at Millbrook, and one north of there in Wolf Creek Township. These he conducted in connection with farming during his life-time. He voted with the Whig and afterward the Republican party, and was one of the first anti-slavery supporters in that section. For many years he was an instructor of vocal music. He was first a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church, but in the latter portion of his life joined the Wesleyan Methodist Church of Millbrook.
