General Notes: Husband - Moses Curry

Ohio was the destination of the band of travelers with whom Robert, John, Moses and Joseph Curry, crossed the Allegheny Mountains in 1804. But the death of one of the brothers, John, and a combination of circumstances caused them to settle in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. The four brothers were born in New Jersey, sons of the American ancestor of the line, who came to the United States from Scotland, and is buried in the graveyard of the Mifflin Church, in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. The possessions of each brother amounted to about seven hundred dollars in value, and this they invested in timber land, building houses after clearing a sufficient space and then undertaking its cultivation.
