General Notes: Husband - William Gans

---

His parents emigrated from Germany on account of religious persecution, and settled near Antietam, Maryland, and in the year 1785 came to Springhill township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania, and pre-empted a beautiful tract of land near Morris' Cross-Roads on which they lived and died.
