General Notes: Husband - Philip Cypher


He was reared a farmer, and in 1851 purchased eleven acres of land, where his son Martin later resided, and settled on it. He afterwards added fifty acres to this tract, and devoted his life to agriculture. He was a prominent member of the Democratic party, and filled the office of justice of the peace for many years. He was a member of the Catholic church, and was connected with St. John's congregation.
