General Notes: Husband - Samuel H. Daily


He kept a stage house in Stewartsville, Pennsylvania, on the old Pittsburgh and Philadelphia turnpike for many years, and was also engaged in farming. At the breaking out of the war of 1812-15 he enlisted for one year in Captain Joseph Markle's company of Light Dragoons, which was attached to the regiment commanded by Lieutenant-Colonel James V. Ball, and he was mustered out as sergeant in Franklintown, Ohio, August 19, 1813.
