General Notes: Husband - David Dale

He was born in Bradford township, Clearfield County, Pennsylvania, and always resided at the homestead, his education having been acquired in the schools of the township. He came to own the old home, with 200 acres of land, 100 of which were cleared and devoted to general farming. He also gave much attention to the preparation of square timber for market, and to rafting on the river. In 1869 he purchased the first mowing machine ever brought to the township, and his sound judgment and foresight were thoroughly appreciated in his community. He was a valued counselor in the Republican party, and held the offices of supervisor, school director and township auditor. In religious faith he was a Methodist, and he was a trustee of the Bradford Church.
