General Notes: Husband - John Nickolas Dambach


In 1835 he, with his wife and son, immigrated to America, crossing the Atlantic in a three-masted sailing vessel, the voyage lasting forty-two days. They landed in New York, May 5, 1835, there shipped by water to Erie, and thence by wagon to Butler County, Pennsylvania. He purchased the homestead from his father, and engaged in farming. He took the oath of allegiance and became a citizen of the United States, June 14, 1847.
They were members of the German Reformed church,
