General Notes: Husband - John Heisley Weaver


He was one of the great coal mine owners of the world. He counted his mines by the dozen and his coal lands by the thousands of acres. He was the largest individual mine operator and owner of coal lands in the world, and was a millionaire many times over. He also controlled a number of railroads. He was made Chevalier of Italy by the king of that country for distinguished service during the First World War.
