General Notes: Husband - George M. Davis

He received his education in the public school and high school of his native county, and even in his early years, showed a progressive spirit. He entered upon his business career in the employ of the Pennsylvania Railroad. He remained in this association until 1920, serving as a clerk, and during his connection with this concern, his initiative led him to plan a future of progress. On severing his connection with this organization, Mr. Davis went with the Ambridge Knitting Company, as office manager, and remained with them from 1920 until April 1, 1925, when he, in association with Mr. Wilson, purchased the business of the Economy Realty Company, and formed a partnership.
Mr. Davis, who was a Republican in his politics, was very active in the work of the organization, but did not look for political office. During the first World War he served in the United States Navy, being stationed at Boston, Massachusetts. He was a member of the American Legion, and active in its work and in the forwarding of its ideals. He also belonged to the Board of Trade, of Ambridge. In his religious connection, he belonged to the Leetsdale United Presbyterian Church.
