General Notes: Husband - Maj. David Richmond


He was a farmer and settled in Gloucester, Rhode Island. He entered Revolutionary service with a lieutenant's commission, and was promoted after a year's service to the rank of major. He was in the battle of Bunker Hill and several other engagements. He possessed great energy and activity of mind, and was high sheriff for many years. He emigrated to Oxford (now Guilford), Chenango County, New York, in October, 1804.
