General Notes: Husband - Robert Douds


He was an Englishman who immigrated to America previous to the outbreak of the Revolution, and who was killed in the colonial service.

He was a light horseman, and was shot from his horse during the Revolutionary War. The quarter section of land which his family was entitled to was never obtained, though it lay within the limits of Beaver County, Pennsylvania.

She was a resident of Carlisle, PA, her parents being of German origin.
