General Notes: Husband - William Bigelow Rice
He spent his early life in Caroline Center, New York, obtaining a practical education in its common schools, and later learned the trade of mill-wright, which line of work he followed for many years. About the year 1840 he removed to Bradford County, Pennsylvania, where he worked at his trade, and six years later removed to Warren County, Pennsylvania, purchasing a farm consisting of one hundred and twenty-five acres in Freehold township. He was a Republican in politics.
