General Notes: Husband - Lewis Lawton Richmond

His education was received in Meadville, Pennsylvania, where, with the exception of a few years spent in Pittsburgh, his entire life was passed. Upon completing his education and settling down in Meadville, he entered business life as a jeweler; and was senior member of the firm of L. L. and H. M. Richmond, with which firm he was connected for over twenty years. He was prominent in social and fraternal circles as well as in commercial life, and was a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, in which he was held in high regard. He was a Republican in his political opinions, and a great admirer of President Roosevelt. In his religious affiliations Mr. Richmond belonged to the Episcopal church, being a man of much dignity and reserve of disposition. He prospered in his business career, and erected a beautiful residence on Water street in the year 1907, which later became the home of his widow and daughter.

General Notes: Wife - Mary Winifred "Winnie" Day

from Ohio

Descended from two of the oldest and best families in the country, Mrs. Richmond was a woman of unusual refinement and charm. She had the benefit of an excellent education and was a communicant of the Episcopal church in Meadville. It is due to her that many family records and items of genealogical interest were preserved.
