General Notes: Husband - Hon. John Fleming

By a provision in his father's will the tract of land in the warranty name of Dr. Francis Allison was in 1784 divided into nine shares or purparts, one of which was taken by each of the children. John Fleming was named for his father, and occupied a portion of this land, east of the city, until the time of his death. He was one of the first associate judges of Clinton County, Pennsylvania, his term of office extending from December, 1839, until February, 1845.
