General Notes: Husband - Henry Martin "Mart" Zahniser


He became a blacksmith and conducted a shop near the old family home until he was elected County Prothonotary in 1878. In 1882, he located on a farm in Forest County, Pennsylvania, from which he removed in 1895 to Tionesta where he worked at his trade. In politics he was a Republican. In the church membership he was first a Presbyterian but later joined the Methodist Church.
