General Notes: Husband - James A. Dewees

After his marriage he settled in Cowansburg, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, where for eighteen years he was engaged in business as a butcher. In 1892 he moved to a farm, where he then devoted himself to dairying. In that year he was chosen tax collector, in 1901 made the triennial assessment, and also served several years on the school board. He belonged to the Republican party, and was a member and trustee of the Morris Hill Baptist Church.
