General Notes: Husband - William Purvis

He immigrated to Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, whence he removed to Westmoreland County, about 1812, and settled on a farm. Owing to financial losses, he sold his farm about 1821 and moved to Middlesex township, Butler County, where he purchased 120 acres of land, on which he spent the remaining years of his life. He and his wife were members of the Covenanter church.
