General Notes: Husband - G. A. Diehl


He was educated in the public schools of Pittsburgh and Butler, Pennsylvania, and graduated from Butler Business College in 1906. He was agent for the Fleischman Yeast Company until 1910, when he became associated with his father in business as manager. In 1924 the business was incorporated under the laws of Pennsylvania, with Philip Diehl, president; Philip J. Diehl, vice president; G. A. Diehl, general manager, treasurer and secretary. In 1914 they built a modern three story building and had their bake shop on the second and third floors. The first floor consisted of salesroom, wrapping, shipping, warehouse rooms, and garage.
Mr. Diehl was a Republican and belonged to the Second Presbyterian Church, in which he was an elder. He was a member of the United Commercial Travelers Association and of the Butler Board of Trade and the Kiwanis Club.
