General Notes: Husband - Charles L. Dilley

After attending school until he was seventeen years of age, he assisted on his parents' farm; also mined coal ten years for the Burnett Coal Company, who took some of the coal from beneath his parents' farm. Mr. Dilley went to Pymatuning Township, Mercer County, PA, in 1880 and purchased a farm of seventy-five acres, known the ''Brookdale Farm." It was so named by his niece, while he was away, in 1898, she painting the name on his large barn. Politically a supporter of the Republican Party, Mr. Dilley has served one term as supervisor and was a member of the school board.
